I have the overwhelming privilege of speaking on Sunday. Today, I'm doing some more research and a simple statement stood out so strong. It doesn't necessarily relate to my topic but I don't want to forget this.
Matthew 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
When Christ began His ministry he preached repentance. He didn't preach perfection. He preached opportunity to repent.
This struck me as beautiful. So often we fall into the trap of thinking we have to be perfect. I think it's more about being humble and drawing close to Christ.
